Stroller shopping in Los Angeles

LA's baby gear scene is spread across forty miles, so plan by neighborhood. The west side and Sherman Oaks hold the long-running full-service shops — the kind that assemble, register, and remember you — while a newer wave of boutiques runs from Silver Lake to Pasadena. Jogging and all-terrain models matter here; ask to test on the sidewalk, not the showroom carpet.

What local parents say

We’ve been California Baby fans since my oldest was a little one. She started seeing an allergist at 14 months old and he highly recommended California Baby’s sensitive skin line for her bathing/lotion routine. She’s 9 now and we have a 4 yr old and we’re still loyal customers.

Finally a store in the whole LA area that has a wide variety of strollers on display to see. We had been looking for days a shop to see in person strollers to choose from those we had researched on. Target, Babylist etc only have a couple options in store.

EDIT: The manager, Eleanor, went out of her way to find and contact me after learning about this. Since I am not local, she set me up with a virtual appointment with a designer to get my questions answered. She also reviewed the footage and saw what happened and vowed to retrain and fix the issues with her staff.
